Purpose: The Community Food Bank, Founded in 1976, has grown into a facility that acquires, stores and distributes 14 million pounds of food annually throughout Pima County. The Community Food Bank strives to reduce the impact of hunger and chronic malnutrition through programs of advocacy and nutrition education.

Mission: Through education, advocacy and the acquisition, storage, and distribution of food, we will anticipate and meet the food needs of the hungry in Pima County.

Hours of Operation: office/admin hours are Monday -Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. 
Receiving hours (trailer deliveries) Monday -Friday 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. 
Small donations accepted from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

CFB Highlights

Hunger Action Month is an opportunity to engage in the fight against domestic hunger. America’s Second Harvest (soon to be Feeding America) and its 205 member food banks, including the Community Food Bank,  will host events across the United States that directly benefit our hunger-relief efforts. CEO, Bill Carnegie, Named 2008 “Good Guy,” Awarded $20,000 Office Renovations From Goodmans

Bill Carnegie is the winner of the third-annual Goodmans Eye for the Good Guy contest presented by Goodmans Interior Structures.  

TUCSON (July 10, 2008) — The winner of the third-annual Goodmans Eye for the Good Guy program and a $20,000 office remodel from local office furniture dealer Goodmans Interior Structures is Bill Carnegie, president and CEO of the Community Food Bank. Carnegie was surprised with the news yesterday when Goodmans’ “Prize Patrol” showed up at his office with balloons, a congratulatory banner and a group of well-wishers.
